The cylinder head tester shows whether there is carbon dioxide (CO2) in the cooling water of vehicles with gasoline, diesel and gas engines. The leak tester uses a test liquid (not included) that changes color when there is CO2 in the cooling water. One reason could be that the cylinder head is leaking. In that case, it should be replaced quickly. Other damage to the engine, such as hairline cracks in the engine block or defective seals in the cylinder liner, can also be the cause of the detected CO2.

The cylinder head leak tester has a conical stopper that is placed directly on the cooling water expansion tank. The cooling water is fed through the test device with a pump, and the application is as simple as it is effective. This makes it ideal for routine tests or customer service work in order to detect damage to the engine or cylinder head at an early stage. Even small leaks, which only occur with high combustion pressure and high loads, can be detected quickly with the set without having to carry out time-consuming dismantling work.
