For installing pistons including piston rings, MSW, the experts for professional tools, offers this piston ring tensioning strap set, with which you can change pistons professionally. The automotive tool can be used on most vehicles such as cars, trucks, motorcycles or boats.
Prepare and install piston rings with the garage equipment from MSW
To install a piston in the cylinder, you need to take care that the piston rings remain in their groove and do not slip during installation. Therefore, this piston mounting tool offers three tensioning straps with different diameters from 53 to 175 mm, which you can easily adapt to a wide variety of models. The straps hold the piston rings together while the piston is guided into the cylinder.
If the grooves for the piston rings are dirty, they can be cleaned with the ring groove cleaner. The set has sizes from 1.2 to 5.5 mm for preparing each groove for the matching piston rings. The piston ring is indispensable for attaching piston rings with a diameter of 50 to 100 mm. You can safely guide the piston ring to the matching groove and press it evenly against the piston. The straps, which can be flexibly adapted to diameters from 53 to 175 mm, hold the piston rings securely in place until they are guided into the cylinder.

You can use the straps for pistons with a minimum diameter of 53 mm and a maximum diameter of 175 mm. Since the piston ring pliers can grip rings up to 100 mm, only pistons with a diameter of max. 100 mm can be mounted with this set.
