Powerful plasma cutter with pilot ignition and 70 A

The plasma cutter S-PLASMA 70-IGBT from stamos_germany with modern IGBT inverter technology cuts electroconductive materials such as steel, stainless steel, cast iron, copper, nickel and aluminium precisely and without distortion. The professional device enables you to make cuts up to max. 20 mm deep at a cutting output up to 70A and is perfect for repair and renovation work in workshops or garages.

Plasma cutter with high operating comfort

The cutting current can be adjusted between 30 and 70  A, and all values are clearly shown on the LCD display. At a duty cycle of 100 %, a high 44 A is still possible. These performance values are sufficient to cut workpieces up to 20 mm thick. The plasma cutter can cut tool steels as well as stainless steel and other high-alloy steels. Even aluminium, copper and titanium can't resist the powerful plasma arc of the S-PLASMA 70-IGBT.

The plasma cutting machine offers two different working modes so that maximum progress can be achieved with every task. In 2-stroke mode, the torch will run for as long as the power switch is pressed. In 4-stroke mode, a single tap is sufficient to activate the burner and another tap to switch it off.

The plasma cutter from stamos_germany works with three-phase alternating current at an operating voltage of 2 V. This makes it the perfect tool for automotive workshops, commercial metalworking operations and industrial production. In addition, it also supports DIY enthusiasts in their demanding renovation and repair projects.

The torch is ignited via a pilot plasma arc which can cut even grids and grates. To prevent oxidation or deformation of the workpiece after a cut, the air supply continues for 10 s afterwards. The air is also cooled by the post-flow of the burner to avoid the risk of damage. The base unit is also equipped with a powerful fan cooling system to prevent overheating. However, if the operating temperature does experience a sudden increase, it will trigger the overheat protection.

The compact steel housing protects the technical equipment inside the plasma cutting machine. From the outside, it is protected from environmental influences with a coating. The plasma cutter is easy to transport thanks to the practical handle.

IGBT

IGBT = insulated-gate bipolar transistor. IGBT is a bipolar transistor with an insulated gate electrode. This semi-conducting device is being increasingly used in power electronics because it combines the advantages of two transistor types: the easy controls of the field effect transistor and the fast switching and high breakdown voltage of the bipolar transistor. The IGBT also offers some robustness against short circuits because it limits the electrical continuity. IGBTs are a further development of MOSFET technology.

GAS POST-FLOW TIME

The time after the weld is finished in which gas continues to flow from the torch; this cools the burner and protects the weld from oxidation.

 
2-STROKE

Start the weld by placing pressure on the torch button. Stop the process by releasing the button.

 
4-STROKE

By pressing the torch button the solenoid valve opens. allowing the gas to flow in. The gas pre-flow ignites the arc at the pre-set current. Releasing the burner button initiates a rise in the current to that of the pre-set welding current. The welding process stops once you press the burner button again.
