The TIG welding machine with pulse function from Stamos Germany
The S-WIGMA 200PDC by Stamos Germany is perfect for professionals and beginners alike for use in workshops, home workshops or on the construction site. It stands out for its first-rate performance values, simple operation and precisely adjustable welding results. MMA welding integrated in the device offers further options, which delivers optimal results with Arc Force and Hot Start.
Precise welding parameters thanks to the digital control panel with the TIG welding machine DC
Selecting the parameters is particularly comfortable, thanks to the clearly arranged digital control panel. The knob/buttons for selecting functions/welding parameters are easily accessible and a breeze to use even when wearing welding gloves. The intuitive menu navigation enables effortless setting of all values such as the pulse frequency, the gas post-flow time or the welding current up to 200 A. All selected parameters are clearly shown on the LED display.
The pulse function is particularly helpful for welding thin sheets. Even under difficult conditions, the arc can be easily stabilised, since the pulse frequency is adjustable up to 200 Hz. It is also possible to select numerous parameters such as start current, base current or end current for pulsed current welding, and to optimally adjust them to the workpiece with the aid of the knob.
The modern IGBT inverter impresses with its precise conversion of the selected welding parameters, thereby making perfect welding seams possible. In addition, it allows you to switch effortlessly between the typical functions of TIG welding and between 2- or 4-stroke welding. The welding arc is activated via reliable high-frequency ignition (HF).
During its welding process, the S-WIGMA 200PDC welder employs direct current (DC) , thus enabling it to be used for almost all melting metals and their alloys such as aluminium, copper, nickel, titanium or steel. Welding is possible from different positions, be it vertical, horizontal or overhead.
Convenient – MMA welding with hot start and arc force
No additional gas is required for MMA (Manual Metal Arc) welding, enabling you to use it outdoors even in strong wind. With this welding method, the welder generates a very stable current of up to 175 A, all the while securely maintaining the voltage. This allows you to make high-quality welds on a wide variety of metals.
The hot-start function of the electrode welding device guarantees a short-term increased welding current when the welding process is started, so that welding can be carried out stably and cleanly from the very first moment. The arc force function regulates the arc sensor and adapts it to the perfect density for the respective material. You can use the digital control panel to set the amperage for Arc Force and Hot Start.
The welders' powerful air cooling and overheat protection function, displayed next to the LED display, provide these devices with long-lasting reliability and durability. A handle in the stable metal housing facilitates transporting the device, while the supplied hoses and cables with lengths from 2.7 to 5 meters allow maximum freedom of movement during welding.

IGBT = insulated-gate bipolar transistor. IGBT is a bipolar transistor with an insulated gate electrode. This semi-conducting device is being increasingly used in power electronics because it combines the advantages of two transistor types: the easy controls of the field effect transistor and the fast switching and high breakdown voltage of the bipolar transistor. The IGBT also offers some robustness against short circuits because it limits the electrical continuity. IGBTs are a further development of MOSFET technology.

TIG/MIG and MAG welding require a protective gas. Inert gases, such as argon and helium, as well as active gases (for example carbon dioxide) and other mixtures can be used. The solenoid valve regulates the flow of gas. The valve is operated via a button on the torch.
Show moreShow lessOn the back of every welding machine is a screw with an earthing mark. Before use, earth the unit via a cross-section cable, which must be at least 6 mm².
This device works with a 1-phase connection (230 V +/- 10 %).
A non-contact high-frequency ignition in TIG mode ensures a cleaner weld starting point.
This is the time taken from the moment of pressing the torch button to that of the electric arc igniting. During this process the solenoid valve opens and the released gas pushes the oxygen from the gas lines and in doing so, forms a protective atmosphere for the arc.

The time after the weld is finished in which gas continues to flow from the torch; this cools the burner and protects the weld from oxidation.
This function reduces the heat to the material. It is primarily suitable for welding thin plates. If MIG welding is used, it is perfect for aluminium welding.
The frequency of impulses during pulse mode.
Start the weld by placing pressure on the torch button. Stop the process by releasing the button.
By pressing the torch button the solenoid valve opens. allowing the gas to flow in. The gas pre-flow ignites the arc at the pre-set current. Releasing the burner button initiates a rise in the current to that of the pre-set welding current. The welding process stops once you press the burner button again.
Show moreShow lessThrough automatically boosting the tension at the ignition of the arc, this function facilitates the electrical arc ignition. After ignition, the unit automatically returns to the pre-set voltage.
Show moreShow lessThe current value increases automatically when the arc is shorter.
A welding method in which the arc is maintained through an electrical current supplied from a non-consumable electrode. The arc is protected from the access of air by an inert gas.
