Aluminium welder with 315 A
The powerful welder ENTRIX315 convinces with precise welding results that exceed every expectation. With the TIG welding method, you can weld with direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC), meaning you can even effortlessly weld aluminium. You can also use the pulse function or use the device for MMA welding.
The TIG AC/DC welding machine for high performance—optionally also with water cooling
The ENTRIX315 aluminium welding machine's digital control panel is very clearly arranged. Each of the parameters can be simply selected there and the corresponding value for the gas post-flow time or end current value set using the keys. Other common operating modes for TIG welding, such as the choice between DC or AC mode or easy switching between 2- and 4-stroke welding, can be easily and directly set on the control panel.
For TIG welding, for example, simply select the pulse function on the control panel, which will enable you to precisely weld thin sheets, among other things. You can select various parameters such as pulse frequency, pulse current or base current. You can precisely set the value, which is shown on the large display, using two buttons. Alternatively, you can also control the welding current using a foot pedal (not included in delivery). The Easy mode automatically matches all other parameters to the selected current.
For MMA welding, you should first set the strength of the of the welding current on the control panel. For balanced welding results, the device is equipped with the functions Hot Start, Arc Force and Anti-Stick. MMA welding is primarily used for iron or steel, as well as for alloys such as cast iron or copper.
The device can be safely used for TIG welding with only air cooling up to 150 A. If you want to weld with a higher welding current, you should connect the water coolant system (not included) for the welding torch to the unit and activate it. When water-cooled, the aluminium welder with an impressive 315 A can weld nearly all melting types of metal and their alloys such as aluminium, copper, nickel or steel.
This device does not include a high voltage plug!
The welder is equipped with a MOSFET transistor. This technology represents the highest standards of performance combined with compact and lightweight design. The result is 93% efficiency! The welding current is very stable and thus ensures a perfect weld.
Powerful fans ensure an optimal removal of heat from the unit.
TIG/MIG and MAG welding require a protective gas. Inert gases, such as argon and helium, as well as active gases (for example carbon dioxide) and other mixtures can be used. The solenoid valve regulates the flow of gas. The valve is operated via a button on the torch.
On the back of every welding machine is a screw with an earthing mark. Before use, earth the unit via a cross-section cable, which must be at least 6 mm².
This unit can also be operated using a foot pedal.
This device works with a 3-phase connection (400 V +/- 10 %).
If welding with more than 200 A it is recommend that a cooler is used. The connections of the welding device and the cooler-lines are marked accordingly with colours.
A non-contact high-frequency ignition in TIG mode ensures a cleaner weld starting point.
This is the time taken from the moment of pressing the torch button to that of the electric arc igniting. During this process the solenoid valve opens and the released gas pushes the oxygen from the gas lines and in doing so, forms a protective atmosphere for the arc.
Value of the arc ignition output current. This current can be adjusted at will. For precision welding, it is recommended to start with reduced power, weld smoothly and eventually adjust the current accordingly.

The output current value before the end of the weld. Welding with the final current helps prevent a crater forming at the end of the weld.
The time after the weld is finished in which gas continues to flow from the torch; this cools the burner and protects the weld from oxidation.
This function reduces the heat to the material. It is primarily suitable for welding thin plates. If MIG welding is used, it is perfect for aluminium welding.

This is the percentage difference of the time between the positive and negative direction of the current during a welding period. This feature allows control of the width of the welding seam and the depth of penetration.

Start the weld by placing pressure on the torch button. Stop the process by releasing the button.
By pressing the torch button the solenoid valve opens. allowing the gas to flow in. The gas pre-flow ignites the arc at the pre-set current. Releasing the burner button initiates a rise in the current to that of the pre-set welding current. The welding process stops once you press the burner button again.
Through automatically boosting the tension at the ignition of the arc, this function facilitates the electrical arc ignition. After ignition, the unit automatically returns to the pre-set voltage.
The current value increases automatically when the arc is shorter.
This function helps to prevent overheating of the electrode by switching off the welding current when the electrode sticks to the material.
A welding method in which the arc is maintained through an electrical current supplied from a non-consumable electrode. The arc is protected from the access of air by an inert gas.

Do I need a water cooling system for this device?
You can weld with this device up to 150 A without water cooling. At higher outputs we recommend connecting it to a water cooling system.
Can I use this device to weld aluminium?
Yes, you can weld aluminium when working in TIG AC mode.
