MIG/MAG welder with pulse function

The MIG/MAG welder PROXUS 200 DP combines performance, digital technology and comfortable operation. Equipped with powerful technology and a broad selection of functions, the MIG/MAG welder provides maximum flexibility and quality. The infinitely variable regulation of the welding current between 40 and 200 A ensures optimum welding seams for a wide variety of welding jobs. The MIG/MAG welding machine is supplemented with a freely selectable pulse function and the option for electrode welding, allowing you to use it outdoors without problems even in windy conditions.

Clear function selection thanks to digital control panel

Two large control dials and two large LED displays enable you to easily and directly control all values such as current or voltage. You can access additional menu items by pressing the knob to define and precisely set further functions such as the pulse function or 2-stroke or 4-stroke operation. It is similarly easy to select the welding method, which can also be set for MIG and MAG in combination with the pulse function at the touch of a button. By selecting the double pulse function, you can achieve welding seams as with TIG welding, but at a much higher speed.

With full 200 A power, this results in a duty cycle of 25 %, with which even difficult repair and renovation work can be reliably mastered. The MIG/ MAG welding machine is designed for all metalworking projects in production, workshops, metalworking shops or trades. In MIG welding, inert gases are used for copper, magnesium and other non-ferrous metals and their alloys; MAG welding with active gases is optimal for structural steel, steel and most of their alloys.

The compact design of the technical interior in a stable metal housing protects the device from mechanical damage. The device is cooled with a powerful fan whose efficient air circulation protects against overheating and thereby contributes to the longevity of the welder.

Weld with an electrode without additional shielding gas and remain flexible

MMA welding is primarily used for iron or copper, as well as for alloys such as cast iron or steel. Because no gas is required for welding, the device can even be used in adverse conditions such as wind. The hot start and arc force functions enable optimal welding results. Hot start increases the welding current at the start of welding, and arc force effectively regulates the arc during welding.

IGBT

IGBT = insulated-gate bipolar transistor. IGBT is a bipolar transistor with an insulated gate electrode. This semi-conducting device is being increasingly used in power electronics because it combines the advantages of two transistor types: the easy controls of the field effect transistor and the fast switching and high breakdown voltage of the bipolar transistor. The IGBT also offers some robustness against short circuits because it limits the electrical continuity. IGBTs are a further development of MOSFET technology.

VENTILATORS

Powerful fans ensure an optimal removal of heat from the unit.

PROTECTIVE GAS

TIG/MIG and MAG welding require a protective gas. Inert gases, such as argon and helium, as well as active gases (for example carbon dioxide) and other mixtures can be used. The solenoid valve regulates the flow of gas. The valve is operated via a button on the torch.

EARTHING SYSTEM

On the back of every welding machine is a screw with an earthing mark. Before use, earth the unit via a cross-section cable, which must be at least 6 mm².

SUPPLY VOLTAGE

This device works with a 1-phase connection (230 V +/- 10 %).

WELDING CURRENT

PULSE

This function reduces the heat to the material. It is primarily suitable for welding thin plates. If MIG welding is used, it is perfect for aluminium welding.

PULSE FREQUENCY

The frequency of impulses during pulse mode.

2-STROKE

Start the weld by placing pressure on the torch button. Stop the process by releasing the button.

4-STROKE

By pressing the torch button the solenoid valve opens. allowing the gas to flow in. The gas pre-flow ignites the arc at the pre-set current. Releasing the burner button initiates a rise in the current to that of the pre-set welding current. The welding process stops once you press the burner button again.

HOT START

Through automatically boosting the tension at the ignition of the arc, this function facilitates the electrical arc ignition. After ignition, the unit automatically returns to the pre-set voltage.
