I don't think the heat spreads that well if you have 1-2 layers of blankets/sheets on top (which you have to in order to maintain hygiene). The bench below the blanket gets warm, but you have to have it on the highest to feel any heat at all coming up against the body. You can feel where the loop goes, where the heat comes from and it doesn't feel like there are that many, unfortunately. Recommend buying one with a slightly higher Watt...
