With its powerful IGBT-inverter, this welder is able to quickly switch between welding processes, thus delivering high-quality welds with a very low error rate. Additionally, its clearly structured control panel offers complete control over the necessary welding parameters.

When it comes to MIG / MAG welding, the welding seam is protected with gas: inert gas for MIG welding, and active gas for MAG. This welding method is characterized by high welding quality, efficiency and remarkable welding speed. It consequently is universally applicable, regardless of whether for large steel structures or smaller welding tasks.

The TIG welding process is characterised by its high precision and flexibility. Make full use of its flexibility by employing it from whichever position you find most comfortable, be it horizontally or even overhead. Additionally, this welding method can also be used for very thin sheets, from 0.5 mm upwards. The low heated area causes next to no distortions, thus allowing you to obtain clean welds with little weld spatter or need for extra work. As a result, you can use this welding function either with or without filler material, depending on the metal.

The Hot-Start-function of the electrode welder procures an automatic and short-term increase of the welding current. Thanks to this “Hot Start”, the starting point is immediately heated to the optimal temperature and the electrodes do not clog. You get perfect welding results from the first.

Lastly, FCAW welding allows weld seam to be produced by means of a cored wire, without the need for additional gas as a protection. Accordingly, our device is remarkably handy, allowing you not only to weld from whichever position you require, but also outdoors, should you desire to. Its versatility enables it to be suitable for a wide range of small metalwork, repairs or base welding work on cars.

IGBT

IGBT = insulated-gate bipolar transistor. IGBT is a bipolar transistor with an insulated gate electrode. This semi-conducting device is being increasingly used in power electronics because it combines the advantages of two transistor types: the easy controls of the field effect transistor and the fast switching and high breakdown voltage of the bipolar transistor. The IGBT also offers some robustness against short circuits because it limits the electrical continuity. IGBTs are a further development of MOSFET technology.

PROTECTIVE GAS

TIG/MIG and MAG welding require a protective gas. Inert gases, such as argon and helium, as well as active gases (for example carbon dioxide) and other mixtures can be used. The solenoid valve regulates the flow of gas. The valve is operated via a button on the torch.

 
EARTHING SYSTEM

On the back of every welding machine is a screw with an earthing mark. Before use, earth the unit via a cross-section cable, which must be at least 6 mm².
