Connections such as threads present a challenge in the metal processing, since they must be connected to the metal piece in such a way that they also withstand strong loads. With the S-STUD1600 stud welding tool from Stamos Germany, you can screw and fasten your screws, pins or cylinders in milliseconds to a wide range of metal parts.

The stud welder uses the CD ignition as the welding method. For this, the ignition tip of the bolt is placed on the workpiece; the current rises rapidly and causes the ignition tip to melt. The arc is extinguished by light pressure, and the two parts are fixed together. The welding time is less than 3 MS.

Stud welding with pointed ignition is very well suited for thin plates from 0.5 mm upwards, but in principle the plate should be at least 1/10 of the bolt diameter. Therefore the welding method is very well suited in the electrical industry, laboratory technology, insulation technology, in housing / switch cabinet construction or in other areas where thin sheets are used as a workpiece.

The bolt welding machine S-STUD1600 requires no preparatory work such as drilling, tapping, punching or any other such prep work. It combines different metals and is suitable for most types of metal such as stainless steel, aluminium, copper and titanium. It can be used for sheet metals, housings, mounting covers and other metal work. The stud welder, with its high capacitor capacity of 72,000 μF and storage energy of 1,600 J, is also able weld hard metals.

The welding range of stud welding equipment is designed for threaded bolts or pins with sizes of M3 to M8 and a maximum length of 40 mm. For each size there is a separate chuck key (except M7) with which the bolt is securely fastened in the welding machine. No clamping rings flux or noble gases are needed for welding.

The pressure of the welding can be adjusted on the welding gun. Three cylinder pins on the head of the welding gun ensure a precise, vertical positioning of the bolt. The short welding time has excellent welding results, hardly any welding traces such as discolouration or deformation.

The adjustable voltage regulator has marks, which is used to set the optimum voltage for different bolt sizes between M3 and M8. Depending on the type of metal used, the voltage can be continuously increased or reduced according to your personal experience. Two earth cables improve the conductivity and increase the protection from a potential short-circuit.

The welding machine is easy to operate and has clear and simply display. In addition to the voltage regulator, there is a large, modern LED display, which displays the selected welding voltage. There are three status indicators for charging, operational and welding. For freedom of movement a 4 meters long cables for the pin welding gun is provided.
