The ease of purchase, continuous information on the status of the order and its transportation, and the punctuality with which the equipment arrives make Expondo one of our main purchasing points.
One of the cheapest weather stations compatible with Ecowitt, etc. Local integration with Home Assistant and huge expansion possibilities with additional sensors from the Ecowitt portfolio. I would highly recommend!
For a long time I wanted a weather station without a display because I wanted to make something of my own. Easy to install, easy to offer and good quality
I bought this weather station to integrate the data directly into my home automation (OpenHAB). This was also possible without any problems with the “Fine Offset Weather Station Binding”.
I have been looking for a weather station suitable for communicating with Home Assistant without a tablet for a long time. This option was the best I found for an affordable price. It works great. The external sensors themselves do not need power from a socket, they are sufficient with rechargeable flashlights and a built-in solar panel.
I have been using the weather station for about 2 weeks now. Two points were important to me: 1) that I can integrate the weather station into HomeAssistant without the Internet (= only via the API from the local gateway) without being dependent on any cloud services -> works without any problems (Ecowitt plugin in HA) 2) that the weather station comes without a “display base station” - I have one for home automation or HomeAssistant already uses a tablet, which I can use to see the values from the weather station -> the Gaetway (WH2650) is perfect for this, small and inconspicuous. However, it can only be connected to the local network wirelessly (WLAN) and not via cable (LAN), but that's ok for me. Installation was super easy. Integration into HA too. The range of sensors is ingenious (e.g. in addition to wind, temperature, humidity and rain also UV index and light intensity). The only thing that would be nice to have is an air quality sensor, but that's probably wishful thinking in this price range. At first I was a bit confused that batteries (and not accumulators) were recommended for the outdoor sensor, but upon closer inspection it makes sense: the integrated solar panel charges an integrated capacitor during the day, which should normally be enough to supply the station with power day and night . The batteries are only used if that is not enough. Brilliant concept! I have now ordered lithium batteries as they work better at lower temperatures. I would rather not use batteries for a device with such low power consumption because, as far as I know, they have a higher self-discharge rate. Conclusion: completely satisfied & absolutely recommended!

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't work. somehow the part has problems at low temperatures or in wet conditions.

You don't know why the network keeps disconnecting and I have to reset it repeatedly!
