Before plucking the feathers of poultry such as chicken, duck or goose, it is advisable to scald the birds first. For this, the poultry scalder WIE-CS-70 is the first choice to implement this preparatory step effectively and quickly. The professional poultry scalder from Wiesenfield is an indispensable helper on the farm or in a slaughterhouse when you want to strip chickens or other poultry of their plumage for further processing.
The effective poultry scalding machine from Wiesenfield
The poultry scalding machine has a volume of 70 L and is designed for 3 - 5 chickens per cycle chickens per scald cycle. The powerful 1.800 W heating element quickly reaches the desired temperature, which for chickens is 60 - 65 °C. For preparation for plucking, the birds only need to be scalded for 70 - 90 s, which makes the poultry scalding kettle particularly effective. A stainless steel basket makes it easy to put the birds in and take them out again.
The temperature should be adjusted depending on the size of the poultry using the large control dial. The maximum selectable temperature in the water tank is 85 °C, although for most types of poultry only a temperature between 60 - 70 °C is needed. The thermostat reliably maintains the selected temperature, so you can optimally use the appliance for any type of poultry. An on/off switch rounds off the simple yet reliable operation of the poultry scalder.
The housing is made of low-maintenance stainless steel which is ideal for processing food and is characterised by its durability even at high temperatures and with frequent scald cycles. The heating element is equipped with a cover which facilitates cleanings, as does the integrated drain tap. The non-slip rubber feet ensure stable and level footing.

I am very satisfied with my new 70 liter boiler. Already upon delivery I was pleasantly surprised. The tub was packed well and there was even a wooden frame around the box for extra protection. The tub is good quality and it's even insulated, which I hadn't been able to read in the description - another positive surprise. I have slaughtered and scalded 25 chickens in series of 4. and here the heater was able to keep up and keep the water at the set temperature. The tub was easy to clean.

The device arrived damaged. The cover is broken, and the passage of the power cable in the device is broken (so no longer seal it during use). I contacted customer service. Top, he sends me a return slip at their expense, and offers me either a refund or the return of a new device. I don't have an opinion on the scalder, because I can't use it. But the customer service is good and responsive. For this I give 4 stars

This scalder is really small; I don't know how a goose fits in there, as one large chicken is the maximum. Unfortunately, the tap leaks slightly, and one rivet was broken. It takes a long time to heat with the heating element, which is uncovered and has full access to scalding residue – feathers and other debris – on it. If someone needs something quick and small, they might be satisfied with this average product, but for me, it's a definite plus, compared to others, so I'll give it a try, although I don't think it would be any worse with a larger pot and stove.
