The MIG / MAG welding machine S-MAG 180 is equipped with powerful IGBT inverter technology and offers maximum flexibility and quality. The infinitely variable regulation of the welding current up to 180 A ensures optimum welding seams for a wide variety of welding jobs. The MIG welding machine is supplemented with the option for electrode welding, allowing you to use it outdoors without problems even in windy conditions. If you connect a TIG Liftarc welding torch, you can use the TIG welding method with the device.

MIG/MAG -fast, effective and universally-applicable

The clearly arranged control panel with two displays gives you maximum control over the required welding parameters and is also easy to use while wearing welding gloves. You can set the current strength and voltage (MIG) continuously on the MIG / MAG welding machine, determine the inductance and switch between 2-step or 4-step operation. The selection of the welding method between MIG / MAG, TIG Liftarc and MMA is just as easy.

At full power, the MIG welding machine reaches 180 A, with which a wide variety of repair and renovation work can be carried out reliably. If you reduce the welding current to 90 A, you can weld without interruption. In addition, the device offers the option of determining the inductance using a controller. You can use spools with a diameter of 200 mm for the welding wire. You can use thin to thicker welding wires with a diameter of 0.6, 0.8 or 1 mm. The wire feed can be regulated up to 14 m/min.

The MIG/MAG welding machine is designed for all metalworking projects in production, workshops, metalworking shops or trades. In MIG welding, inert gases are used for copper, magnesium and other non-ferrous metals and their alloys; MAG welding with active gases is optimal for structural steel, steel and most of their alloys. If you want to use the FCAW welding method without shielding gas, you can use a flux wire in which the shielding gas is already integrated.

By means of an additional TIG welding torch with external gas connection (not included in delivery), TIG welding with lift-arc ignition can be added to this welding unit as an additional welding mode. For this, all you have to do is select the corresponding function on the control panel.

Flexible cutting without gas with E-hand

No additional gas is required for MMA (Manual Metal Arc) welding, enabling you to use it outdoors even in strong wind. The arc force, hot start and anti-stick functions ensure optimal welding results. The VDR function can be enabled for increased security through voltage reduction, especially when you need to weld in damp environments.

The compact design of the technical interior in a stable metal housing protects the device from mechanical damage. The device is cooled with a powerful fan whose efficient air circulation protects against overheating and thereby contributes to the longevity of the welder.

IGBT

IGBT = insulated-gate bipolar transistor. IGBT is a bipolar transistor with an insulated gate electrode. This semi-conducting device is being increasingly used in power electronics because it combines the advantages of two transistor types: the easy controls of the field effect transistor and the fast switching and high breakdown voltage of the bipolar transistor. The IGBT also offers some robustness against short circuits because it limits the electrical continuity. IGBTs are a further development of MOSFET technology.

2-STROKE

Start the weld by placing pressure on the torch button. Stop the process by releasing the button.

 
4-STROKE

By pressing the torch button the solenoid valve opens. allowing the gas to flow in. The gas pre-flow ignites the arc at the pre-set current. Releasing the burner button initiates a rise in the current to that of the pre-set welding current. The welding process stops once you press the burner button again.
