TIG Welder - 250 A - 230 V - portable

With a strong performance of up to 250 amperes and a duty cycle of 60 percent, this TIG/MMA welding machine can handle even demanding jobs. If you want to extend the duty cycle to 100 percent, you can perform your welding work with an ample 193 amperes instead. At the end of the welding process in TIG mode, the gas post-flow time of about 3 seconds cools the torch, which also protects the weld seam against oxidation.

The control panel is clearly arranged and is easy to use while wearing welding gloves. You can regulate the welding current from 5 to 250 A using a control knob. The current values are clearly shown on an LED display, so you always have full control over the welding current. A rocker switch allows you to shift comfortably between MMA and TIG.

When the welder is operated in TIG mode, the high frequency technology (HF) guarantees that the arc ignites reliably without contact with the workpiece. You can achieve clean and long-lasting welding results on nearly all metals and alloys from as thin as 0.5 millimetres, including magnesium, copper, nickel, titanium and steel. The small heat zone does not produce much flame, sparks or spatter, and you won't need to remove slag afterwards. This also prevents the materials from becoming too distorted during welding.

Thanks its compact and lightweight design and integrated shoulder strap, this robust TIG welding machine is perfect for mobile use, making it ideal for work on facades or on scaffolding. In TIG mode, you can also weld in various positions, whether vertically, horizontally or overhead. The TIG welder comes with a 4 metre TIG cable assembly and a 3.6 metre welding torch cable. This creates a comfortable range of movement, allowing you to weld efficiently even in difficult-to-reach spots.

The TIG welding machine is equipped with proven MOSFET technology and achieves an efficiency of 93 percent in energy use. This stable power supply is, among other things, a guarantee for excellent welds. An efficient fan ensures reliable cooling. The integrated overheat protection immediately signals any temperature peaks that arise with a warning light.

As an electrode welding machine, the S-WIGMA 250 is equipped with the Hot Start function. At the beginning of the welding process, an increased welding current is generated for a short time so that the electrode is brought to the perfect temperature and therefore does not stick. Immediately afterwards, the unit automatically returns to the preset power level, where it is protected against voltage fluctuations in the further course of operation.

Because no shielding gas canister is required for MMA welding, the welder predestined for mobile work both indoors and out. Achieve high-quality welding results with excellent mechanical properties even at great heights or in strong winds. This method is suited for a variety of metals such as iron, steel and its alloys, cast iron, nickel and copper alloys from 1.5 millimetre.

The welding machine is completed with an efficient overheat protection. The reliable fan guarantees consistent air cooling and prevents damaging temperature peaks, contributing to a long service life.
