Key facts
Inverter Welder - 200 A - 8 m cable - IGBT
Whether in skilled trade businesses or hobby workshops, with the S-WIGMA 200 PRO welder from Stamos Germany you can weld with high precision and, thanks to the 8 metre-long cable, with maximum flexibility. With a welding current of 10 to 200 amperes, the welder can be used for either TIG or MMA welding, depending on the type of metal and your welding conditions. This welder is also perfect for welding even thin metal sheets.
Handy and flexible TIG welding with 8 metre cable assembly
During the TIG welding process, the S-WIGMA 200 PRO welding machine employs direct current (DC), thus enabling it to be used for almost all types of melting metals and their alloys, including copper, nickel, titanium and steel. You can also weld in various positions, including overhead and vertically. The welding process is characterised by its clean welds and minimal spatter.
The usual cable assembly and cords are often not long enough for certain projects, especially when welding large objects or when welding aloft. That's why the S-WIGMA 200 PRO's TIG welding torch comes with an 8 metre-long cable assembly. The ground terminal and the electrode holder also provide more flexibility with their 8 metre-long cables.
With its powerful IGBT inverter, this TIG welder is able to quickly switch between welding processes, thus delivering high-quality welds with a very low error rate. Additionally, its clearly arranged control panel offers complete control over the necessary welding parameters. For instance, you can freely adjust the amperage and the voltage, switch between 2-stroke or 4-stroke operations or choose the welding process you require.
The device is also equipped with an error display which switches on in the event that the device cannot be operated due to a malfunction, or if the welder exceeds the standard loading period. When the latter situation occurs, the protection mode will automatically switch itself on, and the device will be turned off. This way, your safety is guaranteed.
Weld without gas at a distance of up to 8 metres
No additional gas is required for MMA (Manual Metal Arc) welding with the S-WIGMA 200 PRO, enabling you to use the device outdoors even in strong winds to deliver clean welding results by means of an electrode. MMA welding is primarily used for iron or copper, as well as for alloys such as steel and cast iron. Furthermore, this welder boasts an incredibly stable welding current which allows it to deliver high-quality welds.
The hot start function on the electrode welder ensures an automatic and short-term increase of the welding current at the start of the welding process. Thanks to this “hot start”, the starting point is immediately heated to the optimal temperature and the electrodes do not clog. This creates a clean, stable weld from the very first moment. With the S-WIGMA 200 PRO, you can use electrodes from 1.6 to 5.0 mm.
The TIG welder also comes with a welding torch, an electrode holder, a ground cable with clamp, and various accessories.
IGBT = insulated-gate bipolar transistor. IGBT is a bipolar transistor with an insulated gate electrode. This semi-conducting device is being increasingly used in power electronics because it combines the advantages of two transistor types: the easy controls of the field effect transistor and the fast switching and high breakdown voltage of the bipolar transistor. The IGBT also offers some robustness against short circuits because it limits the electrical continuity. IGBTs are a further development of MOSFET technology.
Powerful fans ensure an optimal removal of heat from the unit.
On the back of every welding machine is a screw with an earthing mark. Before use, earth the unit via a cross-section cable, which must be at least 6 mm².
This unit can also be operated using a foot pedal.
This device works with a 1-phase connection (230 V +/- 10 %).
A non-contact high-frequency ignition in TIG mode ensures a cleaner weld starting point.
Value of the arc ignition output current. This current can be adjusted at will. For precision welding, it is recommended to start with reduced power, weld smoothly and eventually adjust the current accordingly.
Start the weld by placing pressure on the torch button. Stop the process by releasing the button.
By pressing the torch button the solenoid valve opens. allowing the gas to flow in. The gas pre-flow ignites the arc at the pre-set current. Releasing the burner button initiates a rise in the current to that of the pre-set welding current. The welding process stops once you press the burner button again.
Choose between the 2T and 4T mode.
By using the SHIFT key the welding mode can be selected.

What is the advantage of the 8 metre-long cables?
You are not restricted by the cables and are able to more comfortably weld even large or far-off objects. This is especially helpful for TIG welding, where the welding machine must be connected to a gas cylinder.
