TIG welding is made easier than ever before with Welbach's digital TIG AC / DC welder ENTRIX 200. In addition to the precise setting of the welding parameters, you can save the settings ​​for repetitive tasks and reproduce them exactly. The modern IGBT Inverter makes it easy to switch between TIG DC, TIG AC and E-welding modes, allowing you to weld with up to 200 A for most metals and in very different conditions.

Certain welding work in a workshop or on a construction site must be carried out again and again. You can access all the pre-set settings. Due to digital technology, the aluminium welder offers 10 job programs that you can set and save yourself. You do not have to re-new the welding settings every time, but can draw on your experience, which is saved digitally.

 

The setting of the parameters is done very conveniently via the control panel. The rotary knob and the buttons for selecting functions and presets are easily accessible and easy to use, even with welding gloves. The intuitive menu navigation allows for an effortless adjustment of welding parameters such as pulse rate, gas post-flow time or welding current. All parameters are clearly visible on the LED display. The safe button saves the setting as a job program. You can use the same setting repeatedly.

 

With the welder, you can use AC-DC TIG welding, so you can work depending on the metal with DC or AC. Alternating current (AC) is suitable for processing light metals such as aluminium or titanium. Direct current (DC) can be used to weld more robust metals such as steel, stainless steel, copper or brass.

 

For welding thin sheets, especially aluminium, the pulse function is particularly useful. Even under difficult conditions, the arc can be stabilized, as the pulse frequency can be regulated up to 200 Hz. It is also possible to adjust parameters such as the initial base current or final current for pulsed current welding with the rotary knob. For steady welding results and better cleaning when welding at a high frequency (for example in anodized aluminium sheets) the AC alternating current frequency can be set between 40 and 200 Hz.

 

The modern IGBT inverter makes an impression with the precise implementation of the welding parameters, for perfect weld seams. You can effortlessly switch between the typical TIG welding functions, such as DC or AC, as well between 2- or 4-step welding. The arc for welding is activated with the high-frequency ignition (HF).

 

The ergonomic welding torch generates few sparks or splashes during TIG welding and produces high-quality, neat welding seams with hardly any deformation. You can weld from different positions, be it vertical, horizontal or overhead.

E-hand - flexible electrode welding without extra gas

 

For E-Hand welding, no extra gas is needed. The welder can be used outdoors, even in strong winds. The welder generates a very stable current with a steady voltage. As a result, very good welding results are achieved in a variety of metals.

 

The Hot-Start-function of the electrode welder procures an automatic and short-term increase of the welding current. Thanks to this “Hot Start”, the starting point is immediately heated to the optimal temperature and the electrodes do not clog. You get perfect welding results from the first.

 

The E-Hand clamp holds even large electrodes with a diameter of up to 4 mm. The e-hand-welder can be used to weld materials from 1.5 to 8 mm thickness, like steel, iron, cast iron, nickel or copper. Installation and maintenance of rails, stairs, gates and doors, containers or objects made from metal can be finished in a professional way.

 

The consistent operational reliability and durability of the welder is ensured by the high-powered ventilator, the overheat protection and the information displayed on the LED display. A handle on the sturdy metal casing facilitates the transport of the device. The supplied hoses and cables with lengths of 3 to 4 m allow a maximum freedom of movement during welding.

IGBT

IGBT = insulated-gate bipolar transistor. IGBT is a bipolar transistor with an insulated gate electrode. This semi-conducting device is being increasingly used in power electronics because it combines the advantages of two transistor types: the easy controls of the field effect transistor and the fast switching and high breakdown voltage of the bipolar transistor. The IGBT also offers some robustness against short circuits because it limits the electrical continuity. IGBTs are a further development of MOSFET technology.

PROTECTIVE GAS

This is the time taken from the moment of pressing the torch button to that of the electric arc igniting. During this process the solenoid valve opens and the released gas pushes the oxygen from the gas lines and in doing so, forms a protective atmosphere for the arc.

 
STARTING CURRENT

Value of the arc ignition output current. This current can be adjusted at will. For precision welding, it is recommended to start with reduced power, weld smoothly and eventually adjust the current accordingly.

 
CURRENT RISE TIME

The time taken by the output power to rise to that of the welding current’s value.

 
WELDING CURRENT
 
DOWN SLOPE TIME

The time taken of the output welding current to lower to that of the terminal current.

 
FINAL CURRENT

The output current value before the end of the weld. Welding with the final current helps prevent a crater forming at the end of the weld.

 
GAS POST-FLOW TIME

The time after the weld is finished in which gas continues to flow from the torch; this cools the burner and protects the weld from oxidation.

 
PULSE

This function reduces the heat to the material. It is primarily suitable for welding thin plates. If MIG welding is used, it is perfect for aluminium welding.

 
PULSE FREQUENCY

The frequency of impulses during pulse mode.

 
IMPULSE CURRENT

The maximum value of the electric current while in pulse mode.

 
BASE CURRENT

The current which maintains the arc while in pulse mode.

 
POWER FACTOR CORRECTION

This is the percentage difference of the time between the positive and negative direction of the current during a welding period. This feature allows control of the width of the welding seam and the depth of penetration.

 
2-STROKE

Start the weld by placing pressure on the torch button. Stop the process by releasing the button.

 
4-STROKE

By pressing the torch button the solenoid valve opens. allowing the gas to flow in. The gas pre-flow ignites the arc at the pre-set current. Releasing the burner button initiates a rise in the current to that of the pre-set welding current. The welding process stops once you press the burner button again.

 
HOT START

Through automatically boosting the tension at the ignition of the arc, this function facilitates the electrical arc ignition. After ignition, the unit automatically returns to the pre-set voltage.

 
TIG WELDING

A welding method in which the arc is maintained through an electrical current supplied from a non-consumable electrode. The arc is protected from the access of air by an inert gas.
