Key facts
The plasma cutter with high voltage current cuts deeper
The plasma cutter S-Cutter 90 from Stamos Power2 efficiently cuts through metal with up to 90 A cutting current. It is just as useful in garages and workshops as in industry. The device effortlessly masters tasks in the automotive industry, metalworking shops and other workshops as well as in industrial metal processing, but also supports ambitious do-it-yourself enthusiasts in renovating and repairing.
High cutting power and comfortable handling
The plasma cutter impresses with a long duty cycle of 60 % at 90 A. To achieve a duty cycle of 100 %, the cutting current must be throttled to 69.7 A. The settings for plasma cutting are easy to control via the clearly-laid-out control panel.
The cutting current of 20 to 90 A can be set using a continuous dial, the current value of which is clearly shown on the large LED display. The air pressure is also defined using a control knob and can be read via a pressure gauge. This allows you to effortlessly adjust both values—even when wearing welding gloves.
Depending on the requirements, the air pressure for the torch cooling can be lowered via a valve. With a flow rate of up to 175 L air per minute, the air pressure can be up to 6 bar. The compressed air is used to create an electric air which cuts through a variety of metals and their alloys, such as stainless steel, copper, aluminium and titanium. Depending on the material, you can cut workpieces up to 25 mm thick. The plasma arc is ignited using the proven technology of high-frequency ignition.
The plasma cutter S-Cutter 90 also scores points with its handling. The cut width of just 1.2 mm allows you to complete complicated work with low material wear. The 5 m-long cable between the power unit and the torch allows a great deal of freedom of movement when working on larger workpieces such as vehicles or heating systems.
Efficient air cooling is one of the basic requirements for the high performance of the unit. The same applies to the switch-off device in the event of overheating. The coated sheet steel housing permanently prevents mechanical damage to the device components. The plasma cutter can be carried using a handy handle.
The device does not include a high voltage current connector!
IGBT = insulated-gate bipolar transistor. IGBT is a bipolar transistor with an insulated gate electrode. This semi-conducting device is being increasingly used in power electronics because it combines the advantages of two transistor types: the easy controls of the field effect transistor and the fast switching and high breakdown voltage of the bipolar transistor. The IGBT also offers some robustness against short circuits because it limits the electrical continuity. IGBTs are a further development of MOSFET technology.
Powerful fans ensure an optimal removal of heat from the unit.
For plasma cutting, a gas is required with which the molten metal is blown away from the work surface. Compressed air is a common solution for this. For this purpose, the plasma cutter has a compressor connection.
On the back of every welding machine is a screw with an earthing mark. Before use, earth the unit via a cross-section cable, which must be at least 6 mm².
This device works with a 3-phase connection (400 V +/- 10 %).
Start the weld by placing pressure on the torch button. Stop the process by releasing the button.
The plasma arc melts the metal and the kinetic energy of the compressed air blows the metal aside.

The LED light indicates overheating or a malfunction.
The LED lights to indicate that the network connection of the phase has failed.
Shows the value of compressed air the compressor delivers to the plasma cutter. The plasma cutter has a pressure reducing valve which regulates the air pressure.
